| Where to travel in Pickle Lake |
Community Information |
Pickle Lake is known as "Ontario's Last Frontier", as it is the most northerly community in Ontario that is accessible year-round by road. This huge area of forested land is only 300 miles from the coast of Hudson Bay, Ontario's sub arctic. Being that remote, it allows great opportunities for fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. There is much more to enjoy there: lakes to tour, sandy beaches, parks, picnic areas, water-skiing, canoeing, swimming, hiking nature trails and festivals to name a few.
