 Our resort has been Family Owned & Operated since 1936. After establishing & operating King Island Lodge on Lake of the Woods in 1926, Kendall Hanson decided that a “halfway point” camp for the long distance canoe trips between Lake of the Woods & Brooks Lake was necessary, so Hideaway Lodge on Crow (Kakagi) Lake was built.
